As an Amalfi Coast wedding photographer, I had the incredible joy of capturing Bella and Nathan’s unforgettable three-day celebration in Ravello. Being born and raised in these winding streets gives me a unique perspective on weddings here – and this one holds an extra special place in my heart.

How It All Started: A Villa Cimbrone Proposal
Our story began back in 2022 when Nathan reached out to me to help plan a surprise proposal at Villa Cimbrone. Bella thought they were just doing a couple’s photoshoot, but Nathan had secretly worked with me to create the perfect moment to pop the question! When they later asked me to document their wedding celebrations, it felt like coming full circle in the best possible way!

Day One: Welcome Party at Hotel Bonadies
Blue Bride, White Party, and Amazing Views
The celebrations kicked off with a welcome party at Hotel Bonadies, with guests enjoying a stunning 360-degree view of the coast from the rooftop. The bride wore a beautiful baby blue dress as her “something blue” while everyone else dressed in white. Even though rain had threatened earlier, the weather cleared up perfectly for the evening.

Italian-Inspired Details That Wowed Everyone
I Do Italy wedding planners went above and beyond by surprising everyone with a live local watercolor painter from Amalfi Coast Paintings. The highlight for the couple and the guests was the unexpected tiramisu tower featuring both lemon and classic coffee variations, which was a lovely surprise from the I do Italy team! My first time seeing this creative spin on the traditional dessert for a wedding party!

Day Two: Rehearsal Dinner at Trattoria da Lorenzo
A True Italian Family Experience
For their rehearsal dinner, Bella and Nathan chose Trattoria da Lorenzo, a family-run restaurant that offers something you just can’t find anywhere else in Ravello. The couple went all-in on the Italian theme of ‘Thats Amore’ with Italian tablecloths and the bride even had matching shoes that matched the tablecloth! From Aperol Spritz to custom tambourines, embroidered napkins, and tomato sauce planters, every detail celebrated the Sunday Italian culture!

Music, Dancing, and Heartfelt Moments
The night came alive with live Italian music that perfectly matched the theme. What made this evening extra special were the impromptu heartfelt speeches from friends and family. Guests danced and enjoyed amazing homemade food that’s been part of Ravello’s local cuisine for generations.

Day Three: The Wedding at Villa Eva
Emotional First Looks
Their wedding day at Villa Eva started with two special moments. First, the bridesmaids had an emotional first look with Bella – their genuine reactions showed just how much they care for each other. Later during a private first look between Bella and Nathan, I captured some truly heartfelt moments that show why I love what I do!

Picture-Perfect Portraits
As an Amalfi Coast wedding photographer who knows every hidden corner of Villa Eva, I guided Bella and Nathan to spots that perfectly captured both their emotions and the breathtaking surroundings. Having grown up here gives me an advantage – I know exactly is the perfect spots for your romantic and intimate wedding portraits!

Celebrating with Local Charm: Meet the Dream Team
Working with local vendors is truly a game-changer for destination weddings in Ravello. Bella and Nathan’s celebration came together perfectly thanks to an incredible team of local professionals who understand the area inside and out:
Wedding Planner: I do in Italy coordinated everything flawlessly across all three days
Videographer: Gioderosa Videographer captured moving moments alongside my photography
Flowers: Amalfi Coast Florist created stunning arrangements that complemented Ravello’s natural beauty
Hair and Makeup: Alessandro Mancino Studios made sure Bella and her bridesmaids looked absolutely gorgeous
Venue: Villa Eva provided the perfect backdrop for their main wedding celebration
Music: @string4you set the perfect atmosphere throughout the festivities
Photography: As their Amalfi Coast wedding photographer, I brought my lifetime of local knowledge to their celebration

From navigating narrow streets to chatting with vendors in Italian, having a local team makes everything easier. Those connections helped create a seamless experience for Bella and Nathan across all three days. When your vendors understand the area, speak the language, and have relationships with each other, your celebration runs without stress or hiccups.
Planning Your Ravello Wedding? Here’s What You Should Know
What makes Ravello different from other Amalfi Coast wedding destinations?
Unlike other coastal towns, Ravello sits elevated above the sea, offering panoramic views without the crowds found in Positano or Amalfi. The town features rich history, beautiful villas, and a relaxed atmosphere that feels both exclusive and welcoming.

When is the best time to plan an Amalfi Coast wedding?
While May through September is peak season, April and October offer milder temperatures and fewer tourists with still-beautiful weather. Winter weddings (November-March) come with significantly reduced rates but higher chances of rain.

How far in advance should we book our venue and vendors?
Premium venues like Villa Eva and popular vendors book 12-18 months ahead, especially for weekend dates during peak season. I recommend securing your key team (venue, photographer, planner) at least one year before your celebration to ensure your first choices are available.
